I'm at wit's end. Before I start, please understand that I have been using
Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance since XP Pro was released with very
little problem, so in general, I know what I'm doing.

Bit of a strange problem, not sure what is broken exactly.
I used to be on Rogers cable modem (in Canada). I have a linksys
wireless router plugged into the modem, my laptop was running Win2K

Everything I read says I have to have XP Pro on the work Computer... & use
"remote desktop" Is there another way to set this up maybe via VPN?
