I have a media center 2005 PC. When I log into that PC over remote desktop
100Mbps LAN connection, and attempt to watch DVR-MS files using windows media
Player 10, the player attempts to download codecs from the internet. Then it
plays the files with audio only and no picture.

I have been connecting from a Win 200 Professional desktop
machine to a Win XP Professional using the remote desktop
feature.  I have been using the remote desktop connection
client I downloaded from MS.  However, when I try to

Through remote desktop, I am running a program that requires a dongle.
I always get the error message that there was no dongle found even though
the dongle is properly installed on remote machine.

I have a client that I am trying to connect to from my office.Both our LAN'S
are using the 10.0.0. range. I can establish a VPN connection without any
problem... However when I try to connect with remote desktop it cannot see
the clients network.

is it possible to disable the feature that keep the office computer to remain
locked, the reason is the monitor need to stay a live as the monitor is at a
public site and flash animation is updated and displayed, or can you

I have 2 machines, both XP Pro SP2 connected via a peer-to-peer LAN.
When I try to connect the Remote desktop, I get the following error:
"The domain/workgroup does not contain any terminal servers". How do I
get terminal servers installed? The Help and support is particularly UN

This has happened to me about 3 times. I connect to my machine at home
and it says it can't load my profile. So I get a new blank desktop and
under docmunets and settings a temp profile is created. I see my old
user folder there and if I press the windows key it show my username on

I have a somewhat mystifying problem trying to establish a VPN connection

Since installing sp2, when I try to connect to a remote win2k server via vpn
from my win xp pro client, the vpn dialup gets stuck on 'verifying username
& password...' and eventually fails. Do I need to open any ports etc. on my
winxp pro client pc?
