Does anyone know whether remote desktop connection over LAN is secure (encrypted)? I have a small home network and would like to know whether it is necessary to use SSH when using remote desktop over the LAN.

When I try to offer assistance to a machine in our Domain, I get "Access to the requested resource has been disabled by your administrator". I have enabled the Solicate Assistance in the GP, made sure the service is running. I am in the local administrators group.
