I have two computers both have XP Home- one connects to the router via wireless the other via cable. How can I see the desktop of the remote computer so that I can access programmes on the remote computer? I can see shared files OK between the two but I cant get beyond that.

I am as many others not able to connect to my pc at home by remote desktop service because I am behind a corporate/company firewall. I've read dosens of topics about this subject to make a work around, so man can connect at home eventually. But none is working.

Trying to connect from my house (=XP) to my office (=Server 2003) but I get timed-out. Ip-adress, user name, pw & domain are all correct. Am I overlooking something? (ports? firewall?)

I have 2 machines behind a Netgear router. The XP Home one can ask for remote assistance. The XP Pro one cannot. When the invite a friend to offer remote assistance link is clicked, the message "A program could not start. Please try again" appears. It comes up
