After setting up my new computer to work at home and work all of my microsoft Word Documents got converted to Wordpad. How do I make it go back? What caused this to happen? Any suggestions?

Is it possible to map a drive to a remote machine over the internet? Both machines are behind a Netgear router. I can use remote desktop bothways by forwarding port 3389 to the machine I want to control BUT what I want is access to files on the remote machine

Under Windows 2000 Server, Terminal Services gave me the ability to have multiple user sessions; that is to say, my remote connection was distinct from the actual local console session. This does not appear to be the case with Windows XP Professional Remote

I had a working VPN connection which has now stopped working. Oddly, the VPN connection is missing, and I cannot create a new one as I receive a "The Routing and Remote Access service terminated with service-specific error 3604" message.

Is there not a way to use Remote Desktop without having to have to setup a password? The PC I am trying to access does not have a password, so when it starts up it goes directly to the Desktop.

I need to access a host PC remotely using Remote Desktop. The remote PC will access the host via a broadband internet connection. I understand that the remote PC has to call the public IP address of the host PC. How do I get this and does it remain static?

Happy New Year I'm able to connect fine to a pc(desktop) on my network from my laptop. When I play music remotely using XP PRO remote desktop the music plays on my laptop speakers and I want it to play on my desktop speakers. Is this possible?
