I'm trying to access my Other PC via this one, but it keeps asking me for a
password, what password does it want as I've tried all the passwords I know
??? Please help !!!

is there a way that if i am accessing a windows xp pc remotely using remote
desktop,
then nobody else should be able to take control of it remotely,
unless I leave the control of PC?

BlankOK I have a laptop with XP Home and a desktop with XP Pro connected to
a wireless router (Lynksys)
I can print from the laptop through the router to the printer connected to
the desktop, but I cannot get to the desktop shared folders from the laptop.

When I run my RDC session over VPN and try copying over a folder from
the Host to my Local PC it takes a very long time... 3+hours for 400mb.
For now, I just want to reduce the amount of data that I need to copy
from the Host to my Local PC.

I have some XP Pro workstations in a domain where we have activated
Remote Desktop. Our problem is that some of the workstations won't
accept connections on Remote Desktop although:
- The Remote Desktop is checked in System

I find it hard to believe that not one other person is having the same issue.
I connect to my work pc (which is running XP Pro) from my home pc running XP
Home via a VPN connection.  No matter what I do or try, my connection is slow
and gets slower the longer I remain connected ...

I amgetting the message 'REMOTE ASSISTANCE CONNECTION COULD NOT BE
ESTABLISHED BECAUSE THE REMOTE HOST NAME COULD NOT BE RESOLVED. PLEASE TRY
AGAIN.' The RA invite was sent using thehelp & support wizard.
Any clues or advice?

I can find my other PC Via this PC, I want to access files on it but it is
asking me for a password? How can I find out the password as I've use all the
passwords I know? Please help.

I want to be able to take over the remote PC BUT allow someone at the other

to watch what i am doing (like VNC etc.)
It seems that remote desktop does not support this ?

I've been wanting to setup a remote desktop connection on several machines
in our office for remote access for users with very limited access.
I am having a few problems
1) After setting up & logging into a limited account, i receive many error

Is there any software alternative for NetMeeting that I can use in remote
desktop sharing? Im using Remote Assistance right now but I need to remote
to other desktop automatically without sending any invitation.

I connect using the built in Remote in XP to several
computers at work. This is done with a VPN connection.
Occasionaly one of the computers will reboot. (Not
frequent, but definitly annoying. It is always the same

Is there a way to transfer files from local machine to remote machine while
using Remote Desktop?

I can't print to a local printer on a PC running XP Pro when connecting to a
remote machine also running XP Pro. Printing is fine when I connect to a
Windows 2003 machine.
The connection to the local machine is being made via Windows 2003 Small

I have 3 machines which are running following operating systems:
Machine 1 WinXP SP2 - Two NIC - One connected to ISP & the other 192.168.10.3
Machine 2 Win2003 - Two NIC - One disabled & the other 192.168.10.1
Machine 3 Win2003 - Two NIC - One disabled & the other 192.168.10.2
