I am new at connecting to terminal services 2000 with a VPN to a remote desktop. I currently have a Toshiba (Satellite) Notebook which I am looking to upgrade ASAP. Any suggestions of brands, models, specs? I have been told to look at Dells?

whenever i use rdc to connect to my host computer, it always scrambles the icons on my host's desktop and i have to re-arrange it when i get home. is there a way to prevent this ? thanks
