My mom is trying to get me to do Remote Assistance for her computer. She sends me the invitation via MSN Messenger and I receive and accept, but nothing happens. Any ideas as to what we are doing wrong?

If I am connected to the network when I boot up (ie: in the office), because the T drive physically exists, the connection takes place and I am. If I suspend, unplug and move – the ‘T’ drive is still connected but it goes to the T drive that is cached on my laptop hard drive ...

I have a laptop with XP Pro on the road, and my office PC is situated behind a Cisco PIX firewall in my office (also running XP pro). I'm trying to copy files from my laptop (currently in France) to my disk drive in the office. The process fails with an "access or disk-full"

I'm going to college. That leaves 5 people in my house who use the computer, and 0 who actually know how to fix it if it goes down. my question is, what would be the best way to set up access so that if they need help, i can login no matter where im at? thanks

My local desktop is a laptop, the max resolution is 1024x768. My remote desktop is much larger than this (1280x1024), however, the RDP client only lets me set the remote screen size to a max 1024x768. Is there any way to setup RDP to run the remote screen size at 1280x1024 and ...

I have set up a VPN server on a XP Pro machine connected to a Safecom SWAMRU-54108 ADSL modem/router. I can successfully connect to it with my laptop but I am unable to browse files on the server in the shared folders. Any suggestions?

I can view and interact with users logged into the terminal services server. How can I do the same with users pc's running xp pro? I can log onto their pc with remote desktop but it kicks them off. I need to log on and keep them in the session so they can see what am doing on ...

We are migrating 500 locations from NT4 workstation to XP Pro. Currently these 500 locations each consist of 1 NT machine and a few Unix machines networked together in a 140.x.y.0/24 network. The NT machines also have an ISDN adapter and RAS for Dial out and Dial in.
