We've installed the new Remote Desktop Client on all clients within a secondary domain in our Active Directory Forest. We've now hit a problem with users on this another domain trying to log onto a Terminal Server which resides in a seperate domain.

I have Symantec pcAnywhere 12.0 corporate. My computer is a Dell XPS Gen4 running XP Pro. I am direct ethernet connected to a Trendnet TEW-452BRP Router connected to an RCA DCM425 Broadband router. My ISP is EarthLink cable.

I have a machine at home that i would STRONGLY prefer to be able to connect to via Remote Desktop without having to configure the user ID to have a password. The reason is simple - there is no keyboard attached to the machine and thus entering the password after the remote

We connect to our VPN with a SonicWALL VPN client. We can not access out shared files using a UNC path but we can access them using an IP Address path. We have no problem accessing the same files locally using the UNC path. What would cause this issue?

It would be a for a novice pc user and I would like to try to avoid having to walk them through port forwarding on their router. Any suggestions? Are there any 3rd party softwares that configure port forwarding on routers with the persons private ip for remote assistance?

Hey all. Sometimes I have to access a remote machine, but it doesn't answer to its hostname. Then I try using the IP and it works fine. When I reboot the machine, it works normally again, hostname and all.
