We are currently rolling out desktops to a remote site which connects to head
office on a leased 2mb line. 10 vip users are to have laptops and our main
concern is syncing back the data when they return to site and begin to
upload.

I am trying to use the remote desktop fuction, I tried to add all of the
windows componets "add/remove windows Componets" but when I insert my Windows
XP Pro disk it says " insert Windows XP Pro Service pack 2"  I have Windows

For some reason, I can't get the wallpaper to appear on my remote desktop
computer.  Both computers are running Windows XP with the latest OS updates
including the Remote Desktop software.

I've seen several people posting this question, but no answer: when I
connect to my office VPN, everything works fine *except* DNS lookups. I can
access shares on the office server by IP address, but not by name. I can
access external websites by IP address, but not by name.

When I go to the Remote Tab in System properties, I can't see the Allow
users to connect remotely from this computer checkbox, or even the Remote
Desktop altogether??!! I am puzzled, as I have Windows XP Home Edition.

Hi, I am trying to use RDT via a web connection. I have installed "tsweb" on
the computer I want to connect to and enabled RDT.
I'm connected to the internet via a router but I'm I right in thinking this
will not affect a web RDT session.

Is there a way that one can make Remote Desktop receive incoming connections
in Windows XP Home SP2? All of the instruction in Help & Support seem to
reference options found in XP Pro only. I want to use Remote Desktop to

We are using Vista Business to remotely connect to XP and Server 2003 RDP
5.x and 6 clients.
On the local PC, we have a network printer that is connected via a standard
tcp/ip port along with a few other printers.  We have the RDP client setup
