I want to be able to connect to another desktop and start a new session
without disturbing the current user. I want to two users, current user and
remote user, to be able to use the same application. This application does
allow multiple independent sessions.

I know this is a vista question. .but Im not sure that there is a remote
newsgroup for vista..

A user came to me today and asked my why when he logs in with his remote
desktop, he's being asked for username and password.  When I go into his
options on his RED, under the general tab, I see:
User name: (none)

I can start a remote assistance connection OK, but when the Remote
Assistance window opens I can only view the other person's desktop.  The Take
Control button and all the others are missing.
Anyone ever seen this and resolved it?  If so, how?

I am using remote desktop between my notebook and my desktop and all seems
to be working ok. However, as it is designed, when a RD session is
established, say from my notebook to the desktop in my office, the office

Out laptop users need to be able to connect at home and other places.
We are on a domain so the users are pretty restricted with what they can do.
I need them to be able to make wireless connections, do they need any

When using rdp or terminal services on a Windows environment how do you
remove user names from the first logon prompt?  I have multiple logon names
and need all but Administrator removed.  I have tried looking thorugh the

I have 2 boxes both running Windows XP and the same service pack (I think Sp4)
I can initiatie a RDP connection from box-A to box-B and work perfectly.
However I cannot initiate a RDP connection from box-B to box-A.
(Get an error: Remote desktop connection could not be established)
