I am using XP-Pro-SP2 and ZoneAlarm Pro 6.0. When any program tries to communicate with the outside ZoneAlarm asks for my authorization except for the XP Pro Remote Desktop. I get no warning and no request to authorise. Why is this? is ZA not aware of what's going on?

I am setting up my first VPN. Server on desktop works fine. Client on laptop also works just fine. If I connect the laptop to the LAN then the VPN to the desktop works fine. The problem is when I try to set up the VPN from the Internet it will not connect.

Could anyone tell me why whenever I attempt to connect to my friends RDA request (or vice versa) I constantly receive the message stating that the host server could not be resolved? We both have Windows Firewall active and the exceptions allow for both RDA

I have a Vista Business PC on a small network behind a NAT router. The PC obtains its IP address dynamically from the DHCP server built into the rounter. There is no DNS server on the network. Is there any way to connect to that PC from a remote location using Remote Desktop?
