When I try backing up from my laptop (Vista) to my PC (XP) I keep getting
Access denied error code 0x80070005. I have checked both hard drives to see
that sharing is allowed as well as turning both firewalls off. I am now not
sure what to do next????

i work for a major telco.  they do not support windows remote desktop
connection. i have a laptop and desktop that both run XP Pro SP3. i set it up
a couple of years ago to remote into the desktop and recently, after i
connect to the desktop, after i try to log in at the windows ...

As i know there is no other way than using "EDLIN" to edit a remote file in
a telnet or psexec context (commandline!) ... or is there another one?
"edit" doesn't work, notepad works locally ...

I have 3 machines connected together with a KVM switch. This morning on two
of them I could not type as if I type QWERTY it comes out as
^Q^W^E^R^T^Y....
Then I removed the faulty machines from the KVM, and connected another set

I want to know if i can use remote desktop to see my child's desktop while he
is logged on to the computer without him knowing I am watching? I can use
remote to log on but when i do it logs him off. Is there anything i can do?

hi i am using windows vista (with all regrets) how can i use remote desktop
as i need to be able to connect to my vista pc from work.

My host computer is my home desktop and my client computer is my laptop. I
can access my host computer from my client computer when my laptop is at
home. But I can not access my host computer from my client computer when I'm
at my boss's office. Any idea's why? I'm not the most ...

I have a strange problem with Remote Desktop when connecting to a
particular machine. I will preface this by saying that it USUALLY
works fine. But every once in a while, the connection does not
complete. The window opens, it makes the connection with the remote
