At my place of business we are using SUS to deploy MS
Patches -- patches are installed everynight at 11PM.  When
building a new computer something went wrong and now the
computer reboots every night at 11PM when trying to

i want to add a user to an Encrypted folder under WIN XP
PRO SP1. Till now i keep seeing the msg: "Adding users to
encrypted folder is not allowed".
Note: I am the user that encrypted the folder plus the

The read only attribute is always colored in? Although it
isn't really read only. Any one can access it and change
things. Every folder is this way. Does any one know why?

I have downloaded security updates as suggested by MS via
internet mail.  I keep getting emails suggesting
updates.  How do I know if updates were installed when I
went through the installation process and which were

Everytime I turn on my computer the following message
comes up.  "DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM#@\2ndsrch.dll is not a

In Windows XP Professional SP1 I've accidently changed the
security permissions for the harddisk (C-Drive) for
the 'everyone'group. I've disabled all the rights for the
everyone group under the security tab of the harddisk. And

On my Computer I am the only user and adminstrator.
However when I attempt to open the Registry I am denied

says it is a security hole in IE allowing websites to

I recently had to reinstall my copy of windows due to a
file corruption, but luckily enough my personal files
weren't deleted. However, although I log in with the same
account name and password and such (the profiles were not
