My housemate uses my computer as well and he's always

I received an e-mail from a friend and ZA promptly renamed it to .zlt and
quarantined it. The.zlt extension is used by ZA to replace the original .url
extension.

I have Norton Antivirus and it detected the virus
W32.Spybot.worm on my machine however it can not fix,
clean, or delete the file. The file it has corrupted is
windows\system32\winsock.exe. I tried their fix and I can

When I run the Liveupdate feature, the Virus Definitions
works but no Internet Security Updates come down. The
error message refers to Parental Security being ebabled.
There is no Parental Security in this program.

I am running xp home ed and iI recieved a PPS file form a
friend, I tried to open it but it wouldn't!  I know it
should work as my friend is running the same system and

A file named ~ (no extension) and length 342Kb suddenly
appears on my desktop.
Even though it is put in the recycle bin and deleted it
reappears a few days later.

but would rather use one from Microsoft.  Does anyone
