Last week, I got and installed Automatic Update Q329834.  
Since then, daily, I continue to get the Automatic Update
for Q329834.  I have checked Control Panel- Add/Remove
and Q329834 is installed on my computer (Windows XP

my admin account woould be restricted if I go to System-
>Device Manager; bringing up an error that
says "mmc.exe,  Windows cannot acess the specific device,

E-mailed security updates.
I received an e-mail with a security update. I should of known better but I
opened it. After opening the file I did a search for files created that day.
One off the files created was "AOLHacker.exe" I deleted it and a few others.

Using XP Backup, it works correctly when I click "back up
now", but when I "schedule" a job, it never backs
up....What the heck??  I've tryed many things and after
about 4 hours of effort, I'm turning to you guys....help!

have been working on 100 + laptops for a few weeks doing
updates, the number of updates has changed from a needed
28 to only 15 whats the deal have they grouped the
critical updates together or is there more of a problem..

is there a method to ensure that if a domain is unavaliable that the user
will not long on. but also allow them to log on locally if they set the
domain to the local computer.

At present when you logon to system connected to network,
AD alerts user of password expiry period. This does not
happen for dialup users.

I have a toshiba tecra s1 and in having trouble with the
retention of email login passwords in Outlook..althought
the box is ticked, it will just not remember them..any

Is there any way to "lock" the default home page to keep
a web site or domain from changing it? Every time I turn
on my computer and go to Internet Explorer, the home page
has been reset. I have edited the Registry and remove all

i have accidently taken the admin ability away from
myself and now i dont even see a choice of admin ability
on my comp. how can i get this back so i be an admin

I'm running  XP Home Edition and I was hacked  - found three users in
my Net Hood.  They're gone and now I'm fully firewalled.  But,  I've
decided to wipe my drive and reload everything to be safe.  I ran the
disk management console and discovered that I have two partitions of

My virus scanner recently found a virus called
WINWAN.EXE.  I found a file in on my computer called
WINWAN.EXE-1798005F.pf.  To find the folder, you use the
pathway C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch.  The virus scanner told me
