When I close down the computer the screen says that it is shutting down and then that it saving my settings and then does nothing else. It seems that it does not know what to do from then on. I then have to close down

Further to this issue here are numbers from XP update list - if MS could confirm that these are genuine Update or Issue numbers it would be v.helpful! The Titles are as they appear in the list.

BACKGROUND. My AV package (Panda)has disinfected 250+ instances of the Gibe Worm last 2wks or so. As anyone who's had it will be aware, Gibe masquerades as an MS security update.

How can I edit the NTFS permissions of a folder with XP Pro in a workgroup? It's kind of lame the security tab is gone once you switch over, this does not happen in Win2K.
