I've enabled auditing to see who attempts to log on to my
system.  I did this under the MMC...

I can not seem to be able to sign back onto my windows xp
as the administrator.  earlier today I set up my son with
a log-on of his own....My name and password seem to have
disappeared all together...now I have no way of getting

My system have symptoms and conditions which coincide with
described in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 305822
"Failure Events Are Logged When the Welcome Screen Is
Enabled"

In windows recovery console I am asked for an administrator password,
