Can someone help me with this?  I am not an admin, but I think this is a

Hello all. I have a BIG problem. I had Windows XP Pro
installed on a machine with 2 HD's split into 3 Partitions.
Disk0 - c:\ (OS Partition=12GB NTFS) and d:\

Some program has set my default page in Internet Explorer
(XP).  I reset the page and this works while the machine
is up and running.  When I reboot the page is changed
again.  I have run spybot and spyblaster.  Any Ideas?

I run XP Home and want to change the local security
policy 'shutdown:clear virtual memory pagefile'.
The instructions I have been given say:

When opening Windows 2000 I get a msg stating that WinVNC is already running.  I can't find out why this cropsup on my w 2000.  I got J Button's msg (maybe simpson) statingb what to do, but not sure I should.  Can someone explain?

in *detail* how to set up XP Pro Services for MAXIMUM
security, best performance, and no error messages. I have
looked at several websites and they are all wrong.
