I get this kind of messages minutes after accessing the internet......the system shuts down in a minutes countdown. My pCis a Stand alone but it says the shut down was initiated by NT authority/system.

We installed XP Pro a few months ago and when we booted the system, the LOgon Screen did not appear and tbe boot went directly to the Active Desktop. Since this es a single user machine, this is the preferred sequence.

how do i set up a password for a shared files on the network?previous windows i.e. win98 will prompt for password automatically but in windows xp doesn't?so how can i make this work so that others can't open it?
