Is it possible for a normal user to run a program with
admin priviledges on Windows XP? How do I do it (I have
admin priviledges)?

It will not let me download the Windows XP service pack
update. I keep getting "server name and address could not
be resolved" each time; even after hitting retry and

I AM MISSING THE TAB AND SCREEN FOR "GENERAL" ON MY
INTERNET OPTIONS, BOTH UNDER TOOLS AND UNDER SECURITY.
HOW DO I GET IT BACK ?

I forgot my log-in password for my usual account, which
is also the designated Administrator account. However, I
can log on a Guest account, but it doesn't have
administrative powers.

Would it be a good idea to have the virus removal tools
on my computer even if I don't have a virus?  
Thinking that if one just appeared I would have the stuff
ready to combat it without looking for it.  Of course

After downloading and installing Windows Hotfix packs I
noticed they are stacking up in my add/remove file. Can
these items be removed from this file after they are

What is SPG. On my computer I had a trojan horse virus.
Which I was able to delete.  Now when I turn on my
computer I get a alert that my SPG was attempted to be
tampered with.  What is SPG and how can I correct it?

Does anyone know if there is a way that I can "hide" or
make private a whole hard drive while "sharing" my
computer with, say, family members and/or friends?  In
other words, I installed a hard drive for extra space,

I am looking for a way to hide files and or folders from
other user profiles without using the hidden folder

Can anyone tell me how to do this.  I can't belive
