can anyone provide me with advice on removing files from
my system that are affecting my internet connection -
browser settings and pop ups etc. - i cannot access them
through windows

Heres the situation. The computer, for some odd reason,
would not load internet explorer. It would constantly hang

a computer scan has identified 4 folders that are
infected by: "trojan horse backdoor.VB.7.AE"
and "worm/autorooter.B"......what are they and how do i

I have had to reinstall XP Pro, and had two accounts that
had a password on them in the original install.  How can
I get access to these directories now, after the
reinstall.  There does not seem to be the normal

I have 7 users setup on a XP Pro PC and i would like to
logoff the user after an 8hour shift automaticly. Because
at the end of a shift a user goes home with there account

My friend has a computer with XP on it, like me.  He did
something to his computer that won't let XP run, not even
DOS or anything!!!  He says it just flashes a hyphen on a
dos type screen. There is no command prompt. He's pressed

I had dled and installed a XP theme which I uninstalled
as soon as I was done installing it(right after which the
puter restarted and it's this problem started). But now I

I am informed by my NAV that I have the above virus in my
volume folder. It has been quaranteened by NAV but how do
I get rid of it permanantly please. I am using XP Home

I would like to be able to keep users from deleting the My
Documents and IE icons from the Desktop.  I am also
looking for a way to keep users from right-clicking on a
blank area of the Desktop and move icons around like as in

I frequently receive the message from Outlook Express "
OE has removed an attachment that was unsafe".
I know for as fact that some of these attachments WERE
safe! Why does OE remove them and how can I change this?
