My task manager has been disabled but not by me, a
computer administator.

should be a Local users and Groups selection. However,  I
don't have that option. I am logging in as general user

i changed my laptop from a domain to a workgroup so i can
get on my network at home. after i restarted, i was
unable to logon. i do not know the local Administrator
user password but can hopefully find that out.

I have a chess program on my computer that I haven't even
touched for almost a year now. And yet in the past few
months the icon for it (a knight) pops up on the Start

How do you load programs to select user accounts? I have
5 user accounts on my computer. Two of those account are
my grandchildren. When I load up new game/education
software, the also so on everyone eleses desktops/program

The issue here is that we didn't know that creating a new
account would make it impossible to sign in under
administrator. All the software was installed and
settings, favorites, etc were done under that account for
