My PC running XP home edition does not show the WPA option when setting up wireless networking. Only WEP is an option. Is this caused by the network adapter not supporting WPA or XP needs a patch of some sort?

Windows XP went haywire and wouldn't let me boot up. I bought a new computer with a new drive and installed my old drive as a slave so I could retreive files and emails and stuff like that.

All my folders attributes are 'read only' . How did this happen?...and how can I change it back. If I do one folder at a time...it takes hours....and the next time I open that folder again...it is back to read only.
