I downloaded the latest security update for wireless
broadband using Windows XP.After the update was
installed,I was no longer able to get back online.I have
lost capability to get a connection.Please help

My PC running XP home edition does not show the WPA option when setting up wireless networking.  Only WEP is an option.
Is this caused by the network adapter not supporting WPA or XP needs a patch of some sort?

Windows XP went haywire and wouldn't let me boot up.  I
bought a new computer with a new drive and installed my
old drive as a slave so I could retreive files and emails

I've got a prob.
In my Screen Saver options the tick box is "On resume, password
protect". I want "On resume, display welcome screen"
But unlike the standed XP newbie I've got "Use the Welcome Screen" and

All my folders attributes are 'read only' . How did this
happen?...and how can I change it back. If I do one folder
at a time...it takes hours....and the next time I open
that folder again...it is back to read only.
