Even after following that last procedure, when I am in
I.E. and I click on file / open / and start typing www.

some web address's are still in there.??

Well, in a nutshell when I go into folder properties to encrypt my folder under the the advance button, the box to encrypt contents to secure data is shaded out.  I've checked and the drive is NTFS under XP Home Edition.  What's the problem?

i have downloaded the above but am unable to install,i

Sup everyone. I have a problem, yesterday my antivirus
found a virus called
    "backdoor.beasty"
it says that i had to delete something from regedit. and

I have had several problems with my one month old gateway
system running XP.  I got to a position were I needed to
reformat the hard drive.  In order to keep from loosing

I can not do two things:
1. Install SP1 for XP-Pro
2. Install a print driver - HP All-in-One
With problem 1, I get an access is denied dialog box after

Having now got XP PRO installed I installed two programs Cakewalk (Midi Player) and Musicmatch (MP3 player).
These were installed whilst logged on as administrator. But now only the administrator can use them ?????.
Any user who logs on gets lots of errors if they try and run ...

I have run into this problem now on several occasions
with different software.  The install quits telling me
that I need to be logged in as an aministrator.  I AM the
Administrator.  I've tried creating other Admin accounts,

I downloaded this patch using win update,after it was
installed I restarted my computer. When I checked for more
updates the following day it said I still needed Q81114.
The patch is listed in my add & remove folder. Do I still

This is IT? Right? sleepless nights, patches etc. Run of the mill, for any OS. I secure an infrastructure of 30k users. I patch them, give them Internet access and still I do not complain. If you can't stand the freeze, get out of the server room!

I have three networked PC's, one running XP, one 2000 and
one ME.  The hard drive on XP is set to share on the
network and allows network users to change files.  From
2000 or ME I can modify a file (a .txt file using
XP User Acount Passwords can be deleted by other users18 Dec 2003 07:46 GMT1
Is it possible to prevent other users from deleting
eachother's  acount passwords  by going through their own
accounts? other than by changing their acounts to
limited, because they can change it back.
