I have tried all means to enable/disable the built-in
firewall; I don't have any of the "advanced" tabs and I
cannot find anyplace that will let me even view whether it
is enabled or not; and yes, I am the administrator of this

Good morning...
running a clean instal copy of XP Pro, this morning an
error message appeared stating that scan disk and such
had to run at log-in. After it started (no way to stop

I have a small DOS based program that was written for me
by a local programmer. It makes use of a Microsoft file
called emm386.exe. I used Windows 98 2nd edition and this
worked well.

rstrui.exe without getting an immediate error message.:

Every time I synchronize my Palm pilot, I get a message from Outlook 2003 indicating that another application is trying access the address book.  It then gives me the option to define how long I will allow my address book to be accessible.  Is there any way to disable this ...

I am having trouble with my XP version.  I think I picked
up a virus.  I am trying to repair the intsall but the
system is asking me for my administrators password.  It
is my home computer, where would I find such

Running XP w/ Off Prof 2002.  No issues except:
from any application if I click on an email link, it does
NOT open Outlook. 61 copies of IE get opened with the std
