When my computer starts up MSN 8 sign in screen comes up
and you cannot get rid of it unless you sign in. You
cannot close it because it keeps looping back. Is there
any fix for this..

I uninstalled Windows XP Hotfix - KB810217 to do some testing of a problem
I had immediately after installing it two days ago.  It disappeared from
the Add/Remove panel, but when I used IE to go to the Windows Update site
and check on the history of my updates, KB810217 was still ...

hi... i don't know if this is the right place to post
this but... i recently deleted kazaa from my computer,
and accidentally deleted the folder that had all of my
mp3s in it.  i tried to recover that folder from the

I successfully was able to remove the "klez" virus.  
Interestingly, Norton 2004 did not detect this... I was
only able to detect an remove the virus using the
symmantec klezfix utility...but that's another story.

We just applied the patch from the above security bulletin
on an IBM Desktop running XP.
After applying the patch, the machine rebooted and is now
in a continuous reboot loop - never starts windows - never

Haven't had to worry about this before, but I'm in a position now where the previous Manager had set an administrator password on a Notebook computer in XP then established a limited account for everyone to use.  The previous Manager has left the organization and is not available ...
