When I enter Event Viewer and try to access the security
logs, I get a message Event Log File is corrupted. There
are no events visible. Can this be repaired?

get the task manager.  I don't get a window that asks to

XP has lately stopped prompting myself and a friend to
save passwords/info when we visit websites. Is this
because of one of the latest security updates, or is this
some setting that XP decided we didnt need at this time

We just installed windows xp home edition.  When online
we keep getting kicked off with a box that says the
system is shutting down - NT authority/system.  The RPC
remote procedure call service terminated unexpectedly.

My son (username son) has configured his "folder" to be private.  I am
referring to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\son
How can I configure things so that at least I can also access and modify the

My virus checker (Penicillian 2000) says I have a virus
and it has quarantined it but the only place that it is
located is in the system retore volume in the system
volume information directory.

Security logs on all clients in my domain, xp and 2k,
stopped logging events.  Application and System logs are
still logging.  Only updates to these clients recently
are SUS updates.  Any clues????

my administrator account was deleted from Windows XP even
though I thought that was not possible.  Is there a way
