I am told my outlook will not download my emails from my
ISP as there is a firewall blocking my port but not tech
support person can identify where the firewall is

Is there a way to grant other users permission to run specific programs without granting them administrator privilidges?  Seem control panel only allows administrator or limited.  If the progrm does not run with limited have to grant them administrator.

When I turn my computer on it says guest and before it said owner.  No one else uses my computer and it will not let me log on under owner.  When I go to download something or run a program it tells me that I cannot do it because I do not have program administrater privilages.  ...

I am runnng XP Pro on a stand alone machine.  I am trying to set up the XP Firewall but on following the instructions from Microsoft encounter a slight (?) problem in that the Local Area Connections Properties Window has no Advanced Tab.  Anyone have any ideas please?
