Hi.  I have a problem where WinXP doesn't remember my
passwords.  I get the prompt to save the password, and
even if I check the box to save it, it asks for it
everytime as though it were the first.  I tried resetting

Recently ran the norton fix for the Bagle virus.  Now
upon completing post my computer opens a text script
desktop.ini.  What is it? Can I just delete it? or is it

have a suite of PCs that were part of a domain, PCs were removed from
the domain and is now part of a workgroup. Most of the PCs have lost
the ability to shutdown when a limited user is logged in. I cannot add
'Users' however to the 'Shutdown the system' option in Local Security

I've reformatted and installed XP Pro (wanting to learn about
administration). I set up partitions so that Windows is on C, swap is on D,
program files  on E and users? data is on F (easier to backup).
I redirected My Documents to go to F:\Heike. I've added a new user using

Is there a specific patch needed to fix the "This computer

Hi, I have a question about WinXP cached user credentials
for PEAP authentication. I'm aware that there's a solution
of remove the cached credentials using regedit. But is
this something MS will change - i.e. not caching the

even then Microsoft has updated my computer in
background. What gives? I have now deleted the support

On XP-After the machine sits for a period of 30 minutes or
so with out being used it auto locks so that only the user
can get back in with their password.

I have encountered a problem with the following symptoms:
1)ipstack.exe consumed the majority of my processor
2)Norton shuts down after a couple of seconds
It appears to be a virus although Norton runs clean in

When I connect to the internet, windows xp start sending
data. A normal ratio is ex 10 000 bytes receive for 1 000
send. But I got instead 3 mbytes send for 1 mbytes receive.
Is it a virus ? Do you know how to solve this problem ?

System Provider
but it says theres a error reading it is that y i cant
