I did a system recovery and when I restarted it had the
classic logon promt.
It said that the computer was locked.
I tried to change it to the Welcome screen but it would

Everytime I turn on my computer I get a black screen with
the classic logon screen, even though I disabled that and
enabled the welcome screen logon screen.
I am using Windows XP sp-1.

My Internet Explorer will open seveal windows by itself and then try to down a file from download3.payoutpal.com.  The filename its trying to download is access105.exe

Is this feature not available in XP Home? The options are
in the alternate menu list, but they are inactive (greyed
out). I can only come to the conclusion that it is not
availble for XP Home, or I am missing the obvious.

In setting up a user password I clicked the make files
private button.  I now realize this was a mistake, as the

For the past two weeks I have been getting at least 5 to 6 e-mails from
Microsoft  in my YAHOO mail.  I deleted them but they come back, they
pertain to different security updates and patches. I have never heard of
anyone having this sent to them via e-mail. I like all others get my
