OK so here's the deal. I use windows XP of course, and
have my account and documents password protected. I'm
planning on getting a hard drive to keep all of my
documents stuff on so its safe if my computer goes

I have a few user that need to be able load citrix client
with the standard user group. citrix loads fine for them
when they are members of the poweruser group. Is there a

A few weeks ago, my HP Pavillion rebooted itself
spontaneously and logged me on with a temporary profile,
deleting all my settings but no actual files.  I moved

I've been working with a software vendor's tech reps about
how their anti-virus software causes an abnormal startup
when I reboot.  XP appears to start normally, then the
screen goes black, a blue screen containing text (BSOD)

when i want to update my windows xp to the sp1,the hint is
that 'the update is different with you previous operation
system language,'so that the update copy fail.

I was wondering if there were any way to setup a local
policy on an XP machine that would allow me to hide
certain drive letters from other users, such as the c:,
d:, or a: drives.  If so, i'd appreciate any info on how

I keep getting the error  "MDCA DaHotFix Installer failed
to execute and needs to close".  This happens when I try
to download the latest security updates.

that I have no idea how to remove.  It is terrifying.

Changed mainboard on the system, but that forced a reinstall of the system. Now my old data files are not available, as they where marked as private.
How do one recover a private folder after reinstall?

My mother died unexpectedly right before Christmas and my
brother has given me her Dell Latitude laptop.  It is set
up with a Windows password and an administrator password
as well.  How do I reset the system to the default
