Cannot Login to a laptop with Windows XP18 Feb 2004 15:54 GMT3
The login screen says to select a user but no users are shown.  If you CTL-ALT-DEL to get to the login prompt, the administrator account does not work.  I suspect a corrupt SAM database.  How do I repair it

I just got XP SP 2 beta and wanted to test fire the new
firewall. I get an error message saying that I have
turned off Firewall in Control Panel -> Sevices. When I

WARNING - NVIDIA DRIVER IS CORRUPT18 Feb 2004 14:58 GMT4
Using Windows Update, I downloaded two updates over the
weekend - one of these updates the NVidia driver.
THIS DRIVER UPDATE APPEARS TO BE CORRUPT. On rebooting,
the PC hung with a load of vertical lines on the screen.
