When attempting to enable firewall on my aol connection

I have set myself up as admin on windows xp, but i thought this meant that other "limited" users could not access my files. At the moment if any user opens "my computer" they can view all of the files on every persons user account
Surely there must be a way of restricting this to ...

If I activate the firewall I loose my network - all I see
is MSN.   If I deactivate the firewall and restart the
computer the local network comes back up - could someone
tell me why and how to fix this?

i have recieved 2 e-mails in the last week that says this
folder name with a teddybear icon is a virus and should
be deleted unopened butit is within microsoft files and
folders and my older pc with 98 has the same folder so is

service pack 1a. which I have got with my new computer.
Now I formatted my old computer and installed this new
