When getting "Critical" updates, either automatically or via web service, most of them fail installation because they "Don't pass XP LOGO TESTING". What gives, doesn't MS TEST their own updates for compatibility???????

I'm coming from NT roaming mandatory profiles which really locked the desktop down. Under AD, I've set some desktop policies, but have not found anything that will prevent users from creating desktop shortcuts, or adding files to their desktop. Am I missing something? Thank you.

Please help I have a winXP pro pc infected by blaster. The RPC has been disabled in the default hardware profile, and cannot be re-enabled, even from the recovery console. If I copy the profile, it copies the RPC settings. Is there any way to enable the RPC without a reinstall ...

Someone has installed "inetinfo.exe" & Atievxx.exe. I know what it does, but it's driving me crazy. I can't seem to find anywere on my hard drive, even under hidden files. It says that it's under a H key. What the hell is that, I can't seem to find it anywhere. Please help.... ...
