I have been infected by a trojan in sysmon.exe, does anyone know if it is safe to simple delete the file to remove the trojan.

When I open the TCP/IP settings on my XP SP1 machine, the Uninstall button
is grayed out when I select the TCP/IP protocol.
How can I enable this option so I remove and re-install TCP/IP on my pc?
