There are a lot of different firewall solutions on the market and I'm wondering if the firewall in Windows XP will be safe enough compared i.e. with the McAfee firewall

Norton AntiVirus discovered the W32.HLLW.Gaobot.gen virus
in the Windows file C:|WINDOWS\system32\winlog.exe file.
Symantec have recommended deleting the file.
Is it OK to delete and does it have to be reloaded ?
