What is a "port scan attack"? My firewall reports several
times a day, "port scan attack was logged" or something
like that. Do I have to do something about this?
Does this mean an actual damage was done, or the firewall

I tried to download the updates for windows xp, (I am
pretty sure I have Professional) and after trying to
download the main download they suggested, error came up
and said "Product key used to install windows is invalid.  

I get a message on my email that says... OE removed
access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail.  
Then I can't open the attachment.  Sometimes it's an

I'm trying to help a friend with his WinXP Home Edition system. He is the

My laptop reboots whenever I connect to the internet. I
get a message dialog box saying RPC was unexpectedly
terminated. System must reboot in --seconds. The shutdown
was authorised by NT Authority\System. I am using WINDOWX
