I have been using the windows desktop shortcut 'shutdown -r -f -t 00' on my
daughters pc which I access through out home LAN to reboot her PC remotely.
This morning I installed the latest set of windows updates, but also a few
other programs (non of which I can imagine interfering).

I was working under "guest" type account in Win XP and
then decided to change the type to administrator (of the
local machine). Now all my documents from "My Documents"
folder are gone! IE favorites, too.

When I try to close a locked/crashed program using the

I used to have this feature on my XP Pro install that I really liked:
when logged in, if you waited say 10 minutes without touching
anything, it would go into some background mode ( screen would go

I had some problems with my system and had to format the system partition.I didn't know i will lose access to encrypted files and i didn't know that i can export the key so i can use the files later.Is there any chance that i access those files now?I am trying to do this for over ...

I have two HDD's on my system. Primary HDD has WinXP Pro
installed. Second HDD contains all my data including My
