I have been using the windows desktop shortcut 'shutdown -r -f -t 00' on my daughters pc which I access through out home LAN to reboot her PC remotely. This morning I installed the latest set of windows updates, but also a few other programs (non of which I can imagine interfering).

I was working under "guest" type account in Win XP and then decided to change the type to administrator (of the local machine). Now all my documents from "My Documents" folder are gone! IE favorites, too.

I used to have this feature on my XP Pro install that I really liked: when logged in, if you waited say 10 minutes without touching anything, it would go into some background mode ( screen would go blank ), and upon resumption, you'd be forced to enter a login
