Hi, I have just read in issue 35 of 'Windows made easy'
magazine that firewalls should be disabled before
downloading the windows security updates. This does not
sound right to me. Any advice?

I have recently been unable to download almost anything
at all using IE6. everytime I try to do so nothing seems

I did a scan with NAV and a virus was detected. I then followed the
instructions.
If any files are detected as Adware.WinFavorites, click delete. If it cannot
delete the file then use windows explorer to locate and delete.(Which I had
