is it possible to secure a folder in XP Home ? I can't see any security
settings for folders ?

This may be a simple question and I may answer it myself, but I would like
to make sure I'm on the right path.
To only allow a user to log on to the local pc, do I switch the drop down to

   I joined my company's domain, then returned to my home network.  My
sharing/priveleges are all changed.  Is there a way to reset XP security
settings to a default new installation setting?

The above critical update has been download and installed
3 times.  The last occasion I deleted the old file first.
Windows update still sends this update as needed.

I have setup a couple of computers with remote access via
a VPN connection.  I am able to have the laptops connect
to the VPN, but windows is giving me an error saying i
cannot log onto the same resource twice.  Suggestions?

I have a Toshiba laptop and when i want to close it and i
click on Shut down, Windows XP closes, the machine stops
and then 2 seconds later it restarts. And i clicked on

friend has virus on computer, keeps shuting down.

I upgraded from ME to XP Home.  After installation, the
critical updates at the MS site will download, but the
installation process does not continue.  The connection
stays alive and active, but the process stalls before

has been changed system is unable to let me view it.
