I ran Norton Anti-Virus 2004 and Ad-aware 6.0 (both updated) on my PC and both identified an adware file on my PC, C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll. Symantec classifies this files as "Adware: WinFavorites"

I got the foll message on my machine "The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems..." after running chkdsk /r. I then slave the drive in another PC (running XP as well) so that I can access the Documents and Settings folder to extract the Outlook pst file ...

Using Adaware, Spybot and Norton Anti 2004 all find a registry entry for Btiein but none can remove it. I went into Safemode hoping to remove with regedit but key has taskcache and will not allow any deletion.
