Recently, I have had a "pop-up" every time I load the
internet asking to install a Mircosoft XP Professional
program.  The first thing I did was to try a re-install
what it was asking for from the Windows XP cd.  It said

i scanned my pc with norton anti virus and it seems that my pc is infected. It says that the name of the threat is Adware.Instant Access. I have installed on my pc Ad-aware but still the virus has not been removed. Can you tell me what can i do to remove this virus.

Here is a question that i have not run across yet
my task manager displays as an empty box with no tabs
Ctrl.alt.dlt. works to pull it up and i can use it to close non responsive programs but i cannot check performance or other things usually associated with T.M
any suggestions?

I have a Router with built-in firewall (Lynksys BEFSX41)
several times I have tried to get Remote Assistance but
my firewall stops the process. Any ideas?

When ever i log onto the net, my messenger automatically logs in.  I have gone through options and made sure u have to enter passwords and stuff but it still logs on.  I use a shared computer so it essential i get rid of it.

I have recently installed the free version of Spysweeper, and I have
the following doubts about the software:
Every time I run the software, it detects Alexa Toolbar on my system.
Even after having deleted Alexa (via Spysweeper,) the software detects

I upgraded from ME to XP Pro, all was OK, but now I can't
access Control Panel. I have two accounts on the machine,
both say they have admin rights. The only true admin

Recently had to install a new harddrive due to issues
with the OEM drive - on which Windows was degrading to
the point of unusability.  A repair/reinstall failed on
the OEM drive.  I have the OEM drive set-up as a slave
