I am logged onto Windows XP Pro SP1, as "Administrator",
with a password.
control panel > user accounts.  There is no "advanced"
tab.

XP has disabled my drivers to my DVD Rom and my DVD burner
and god knows what else to my computer.

I need to know how you set a password on a DSL connection. I am the administrator of my system and need to prevent underage children from accessing the internet without myself or my wife being present.  Any help would be appreciated.

Does using a Limited Account improve security from
hackers?  Or is it enough these days to use firewall,
virus check software, and keep critical updates current?

I've my Dell laptop running WinXP Pro (with all updates till 7/15/2004).
I'd only 2 accounts
1. default Administrator account
2. one user xyz who is member of administrator group.

am getting the following error message when on the
internet: 'lssa shell error.'
Then my computer says it has a windows nt error and has
to restart.  It then proceeds to do so.

I am trying to help someone fix their computer of XP Home which I don't
