I recently installed my Windows XP Pro again because I had a very bad virus infection in my computer. I started by formatting the system partition. I have my documents in other partition and to some of them I used Windows XP:s EFS to encrypt those files.

My system crash and had to reinstall windows XP after formating. Unfortunatly some of my files/folders in my 2nd partition had been encrypted and i had also not backed up my certificate entries.

I have installed SP2. I have unselected the option to notify me if there is a problem with the firewall. I have an external firewall and do not use the firewall built into Windows XP. But, each time I restart the machine, the check is selected again. It does not

I just heard that Automatic Update needs to be shut off because someone has figured out a way to send virus through it. I think this is BS because they also said that it won't be corrected until Sept. 15 Anyone else heard of this???
