My father recently passed away and I have his computer.

First question:
I have to install SP2 to be allowed on college network.  
So far it has failed twice.  When done loading and

My son was working on his computer while downloading the
lastest XP Service Pack...His computer is now in the shop

every E-mail of a trusted individual (and only on his).

and also use zone alarm pro. Yet everyday when I run a
spybot search it finds a DSO expolit with 5 entries, which
it says gains entry through a security leak in Microsoft.

Has anyone seen a problem with the registry after a
Windows XP SP1 upgrade from Windows 2000 SP3.
Access denied to eventlog, registry, remote desktop, disk
management.
