The "group policy" can not be found in available snap-ins when opening MMC add/remove snap-ins. Windows can not find "gpedit.msc" when I tried to run this command from the strat menu.

I'm new to Windows security, but I wanted to know if it's possible to disallow a user from closing a certain program? For example, I'm running ZoneAlarm and Avast AV and I want to make sure it's always running (ie. nobody can shut it down).

in safe mode it's fine..in normal mode it constantly tries to connect to a series of sites..in no particular order...this in turn interferes with normal programs..if you try to run them, they flash up and then disappear. this applies to the run command too.
