"Accessed"-values of files in a folder to make it look like someone's been
using the computer from time A to time B (say, from 14:00 to 14:20) without

I am very curious if there is any easy way how to solve the following:
There is a need to switch of the firewall function in Windows XP for some
students/workstations. They are developing some applications that

what am I missing here? I have an xp pro sp2 machine with the firewall
turned on and only the remote assistance exception active. The check box IS
check to "Display a notification when windows firewall blocks a program".
However I can port scan this box using very 'loud' methods and ...

I wonder how you do if you want the local computer ( the System user) use EFS
when writing files. I want to add the certificate myself and then point it
out with the CertificateHash in the registry to tell the System to use it
when encrypting.

If my internet connection goes to my Linknsys wireless router first, do I
need the windows firewall enabled or a seperate firewall program to be
running on either computer?

I may or may not be having a problem with the firewall in XP.  I just
completed a full reinstall of the software on my PC.  I started with the XP
disks that shipped with my PC, installed my antivirus software and let it

I cannot seem to schedule Norton AntiVirus Scan as a scheduled task.  I
always get message that I do not have authority to schedule.  The SECURITY
TAB for the task shows ALLOW, FULL CONTROL for System, Administrator, and
User-ID.  What else do I need to do?

servers. Our clients are a mix of SP1 & SP2. We run SMS 2003 and Symantec
Anti Virus 8.1 Corporate.  We run Exchange Server 2003 & ISA server 2000
(soon to be upgraded to 2004) and GFI Download & Mail security.
