When I right click on a folder in Windows XP SP2, the security tab is
missing. Is there anything that was done in SP2 to hide this tab? How can I
get it back so I can set my permissions on my folders.

I accidently delete the EFS certificate in "Personal"
certificate for one of my encrypted folder. I did not
export the certificate before and did not delegate a
recovery agent. Right now I could not open the files

Every time I d/l service pack 2, my computer crashes.  It may crash whilst
logged on or even during start-up.  When I remove it from my system it's
fine.  But then Window's update prompts me to install it...so I do...and so
the problem persists.

can anyone identify them and tell me how to get rid. I've tried Spybot but
they keep coming back. Disabling them in startup manager (in Spybot) prevents

Ok.  Here is my situation.  I have a computer that is running XP Pro, not
connected to a domain.  On the welcome screen, there will be the
Administrator login, and a user called Operator.  The users who will be using

I am running Win XP Pro behind a firewall/router.  When I run netstat I get

 hell , it was in the Windows Firewall Exceptions and the box beside it was
checked(ticked) . I off to do some research , anyone got any extra advice for

Have you experienced hiding mapped network drives?
I have a script running during logon that some of my network drives are
automatically mapped to the users.
Now, I'm planning to hide the mapped drives or should I say making the
