Super-admin access to XP Pro machine06 Mar 2005 16:16 GMT1
When I built a new machine recently I installed Windows XP  on it and
skipped the setup step of making an Admin account to use in emergencies.  I
have only one user account which has admin authority.  I then went back in
to create another user account with admin authority.
Windows Firewall or NAV Internet Worm Protection?06 Mar 2005 09:24 GMT1

Worm Protection" feature, which is not quite a full firewall, I think.
Of the 2, Windows Firewall (Window XP SP2) and NAV Internet Worm
Configuring Windows XP SP2 Firewall for Network-based Scanning06 Mar 2005 08:41 GMT7
We run a network based scanner, similar to Nessus, to check for

Does anyone know of a way to get Windows Firewall to allow access on all
ports to a specified IP address or subnet? I ask because I can allow specific
ports, but wildcards like "*" don't seem to work.
